We went to Percy Weasley's wedding on Saturday. Things were kind of weird. Hermione was my date and I think Mrs Weasley is angry at us but we didn't really get to talk to her. It was a nice wedding though, there weren't alot of people there so it wasn't a huge crowd or anything which is nice. I met some of Ron's cousins and his uncles and I'd never met them before, everyone has red hair and one of Mr Weasley's brothers has something like eight kids so it was neat. And I reckon I'm the only person who didn't know that Bill's girlfriend was Fleur Delacour. No one else seemed surprised to see her there so I felt kind of dumb.

Ron's hand is better, so we want to play Quidditch on Saturday. If anyone else wants to play they can, and Ginny had better be there. We should probably be studying but I think I'm going to explode soon. The more I study I feel like I know even less because I'm trying to remember everything and it makes me forget the old stuff and then I can barely remember the new stuff either. Sirius says you have to take breaks so I think Quidditch counts.

You have to get alot of N.E.W.T.s for Auror study so at least we're doing the same thing but I wish I was doing something easier. I don't even know if I should be aiming to be an Auror or not but I can't think of anything I'd rather do. Ernie Macmillan always makes Unspeakables sound so cool but what do they even do? I think he's taking the N.E.W.T.s to be one but he's not saying what he's taking for it anyway. Unspeakables might turn out to do something really awful so I'd rather try to be an Auror. I think I'm going to do horribly though, Ron and Hermione are both really obsessed about studying and I feel like I'm slacking.

A Journal Entry
by Harry James Potter, aged seventeen years, three hundred and thirteen days.

A gift to the masses from the Boy Who Lived.

A symphony of words.

A touching demonstration of my fondness for the little people, as shown by my ability to continue interacting with them despite the fact that I am, of course, above all of this, which is why I usually do not bother with updating this journal.

To my best estimate, I awoke at 07.47 yesterday morning. I took one look at the mirror beside my bed and thought, 'It's good to be Harry Potter' before giving my reflection its customary good morning wink. Whistling a tuneless tune, I voyaged valiantly to the shower and checked for shades of evil lurking in the shadows. Seeing that there were none, I proceeded. Afterwards, I carefully arranged my hair out of place and speckled water onto my glasses so that people would continue to wonder how I can possibly see out of them for all the spots on the lenses.

For breakfast, I evidently ate enough toast to feed my little friend Ron Weasley's entire family for a year, along with a healthy glass of milk. I enjoy bread, as it reminds me of the time I swam the Channel and built a makeshift raft out of stale bread. I, of course, always make certain to get enough Calcium on a daily basis. Should I find out that anyone else doesn't meet the Calcium requirement, I shall likely have you killed and/or thrown out of Hogwarts. I can do that, you see. For I am Harry Potter. We all know that I'm running the show.

After breakfast it was a quick stop to Dumbledore's office to advise him on financial matters and then I was off to Double Charms. We've been learning the Patronus Charm and since I already know all I need to know, Professor Flitwick awarded me with a brand new home just off of Vienna. The property deeds shall be here soon. I also received six hundred house points for Gryffindor due to the fact that I slept in what Flitwick deemed 'an angelic manner.' The Ravenclaws were stunned and broke into a spontaneous standing ovation.

On the way to lunch, several first years handed me gold for honouring them with my presence in the corridor. I paused to ponder the wonders of being me and stood at the window poetically, watching the inferior sunlight on the courtyard. I made a note to myself to ask that the sun be dimmed so that it's no longer brighter than my the gleam of my teeth and continued to the Great Hall.

My lunch was served on a silver platter, which invoked needless jealousy in my peers, but as I informed them that I'd developed a way to rid the world of freckles, they got over it. I spoke at length about world hunger and had one of the other Gryffindors start a row with a Slytherin who was wasting food. Good lord, I simply cannot stand to see others waste food. It's an abomination, and I, Harry Potter, shan't stand for it any longer.

I perused a copy of The Daily Prophet, and seeing there were only the requisite five articles about me in this edition, passed it on to Colin Creevey. I am so giving.

Today was a lengthy day, given that we had Double Charms in the morning and Double Herbology after lunch. Professor Sprout asked me to teach the class in her place, as she was forced to recognise that I know more about Herbology than she does, but I demurely declined. She seemed insulted, but opted not to say anything, as she likely knew that I would beat her to a bloody pulp if she did. Professors.

I did have a conversation with that Hermione Granger, but I can't be bothered to remember the details any longer.

After Herbology, Draco Malfoy forced me to watch while he worked tirelessly on repairing the robes that got burnt the other evening. I suppose I could have helped to make the task easier. I, however, would have none of this and decided to sit lazily on the table whilst summarising my day for him in immaculate detail. I do wish that I could be as stoic as Draco Malfoy. There he was, a set of robes singed, and did he complain? As a matter of fact, he didn't. Upon discovering that his task was fruitless, he instead threw them in the dustbin without a word about the loss of his robes, which even burnt were in far better condition than mine. Draco Malfoy is a veritable god, and even my heroic glow is dulled in his presence.

His skin is so flawless, and mine is so flawed. I must admit, I'm quite jealous that I've never managed to keep up with him in lessons. I'm quite concerned about the potion we're to brew on Friday, but Malfoy seemed to have things under control. I sought his precious advice, but even so I am certain that my potion shall be a mere shadow of his. Oh, to be a Malfoy.

A few hours later, I was honoured to walk to the Great Hall in the presence of Draco Malfoy. I enjoyed dinner and alot of small talk with that redheaded fellow you frequently see me with. We discussed putting a Quidditch game together, but I doubt that he shall have the time, given that he's constantly busy hanging off the breast of one of the Patil twins.

I slept fitfully last night, which was rather worrisome. I shall have to force myself to sleep earlier this evening, despite the fact that this likely means I will end up going to bed immediately after dinner. How will I digest?

I'm currently in the library waiting to go to Transfiguration, as I've a free spot on Thursday mornings. I've just informed Draco Malfoy of a dream I had last night in which I was being chased by a ravenous piece of toast that was evidently tired of being eaten by me. I'm clearly disturbed.

Today was okay. It's Thursday, so we had the afternoon free, and I had the morning free too. Really we just had Transfiguration and Charms. I think I'm better at Charms than Transfiguration, because we've been learning to transfigure Professor McGonagall's desk into a pig and mine only ever gets a snout and sometimes a tail but it's still a desk.

I wish Quidditch wasn't over. On Saturday Ron and Ginny and Evan and I went to the pitch threw the Quaffle around and let the Snitch out but it wasn't really exciting, you know? It was fun because it was Quidditch and flying, but sometimes we just handed the Quaffle over to each other, it wasn't like a real match. It was fun though.

Hermione's going really mad about N.E.W.T.s. Which is a huge shock. We're having tea with Hagrid later so I reckon I should probably eat a really big dinner so I'm full.

I wish term wasn't almost over. It feels like it was just Christmas. It's weird how fast things go. I mean, it's weird that we're even seventh years. First year wasn't that long ago, but it must have been because it was six years. Things change too much, I think, but I guess it's good sometimes.

We have our last match today. It's weird because last week I didn't really think about how it was the last match so much, and we weren't even supposed to have this one, but now that we're having this one I can't stop thinking about it. I wish we could have twelve matches a year instead of just the six. I guess we can still play for fun but it's not the same thing, it's not as exciting or scary or anything. I wish I had another year at Hogwarts just for the Quidditch.

Last week was a really great game. I don't think I'm supposed to say that but it was really fun and exciting and I liked it. We all got detention on Monday, but we don't have to serve them till next week, or I guess this week, because Professor McGonagall let us have the rest of the week we just had for practice. That was nice of her. We haven't got our assignments yet but I don't think it will be too bad.

Everyone's going really loony about N.E.W.T.s. Ron's working really hard too, I forget how many he has to get but it makes me tired just thinking about it. I don't want to take them. No one does, I reckon, but I just mean that's the end, then, when we take them. We go home pretty soon after they're over.

I used to wish I was Quidditch captain but I don't think I'd do a good job. Evan is really obsessed. I thought I was obsessed with Quidditch but Evan knows Quidditch limericks. I don't know how much time he spends planning practices but he always has all these new ways to practise and I couldn't come up with any of that stuff. I watched the end of a Slytherin practice this week and they do all sorts of stuff too. I think the Slytherin captain works hard too, I mean you'd think he wouldn't but he does. Susan's a really good captain too. I don't know anything about Mullarkey. I guess Quidditch captains are just that way. Evan doesn't make us breakfast before matches though and I kind of wish he would. I think Ginny should start a campaign to get him to do it.

We had Quidditch practice today. It got pretty warm out lately so it was really nice flying. Not like summer or anything but it's probably better that way, anyway. It seems really weird that there's only three months left at Hogwarts, it doesn't seem like we won't come back in autumn. I don't even know what I'm going to do after we leave. I can only ever think of one thing and it's pretty stupid, because I almost didn't get enough O.W.L.s for it after Potions and then we have N.E.W.T.s and I won't get the right amount of Potions again. I don't even think you need Potions that much for stuff that you're supposed to or everyone says you will. We learnt all this stuff in maths in my old school, before Hogwarts I mean, that they said we were going to need and you never do. I bet Potions is the same way. Some stuff is too important to do on your own forever, so you have to get someone else and alot you won't need and if you do you probably won't remember how anymore. I like Defence Against the Dark Arts more, at least when Sirius or Remus teaches. Sirius's lessons have been really cool lately.

Easter break is coming up soon. I hope it doesn't get cold again first because I don't want to spend the whole time inside. Maybe me and Sirius can put together that Quidditch stuff or something.

Ron said a bunch of people cracked from studying tonight or something and now everybody's going to have a party. I guess I'll go if he wants. I don't want to study anymore either and I'd rather hang out with Ron than sleep because that's probably what I'd just do instead if he went and I didn't go. I think Seamus is asking about it so I guess we'll do that if that's what people want to do.

Ron cooked me breakfast in bed for his good deed for today, so that was pretty interesting. He woke me up kind of early, but I had to trim the twigs on Justin's broom before Sirius's lesson today anyway so it was a good thing I got up.

I haven't really seen that much of Justin all week. Every time I find him it's the back of him because he's already leaving the room. I followed him a couple times, but I think he started thinking I was following him everywhere so I stopped that. I emailed him a few times and sent him a couple notes with Hedwig, but he didn't answer them, and yeah. So that was great. Then he cursed me a bunch of times when I wasn't looking in the dungeons this morning and I still don't know why. I didn't mean to knock him out but now everyone in Hufflepuff is probably going to think I'm out to get him. Or at least they will now that I just said that. I don't think anyone knows who hit anyone in the dungeons, to be honest. Snape started putting curses on Sirius as soon as he came in, and I reckon someone thought that was what we were supposed to be doing too and then everyone started doing it back to everyone else. Everyone keeps transfiguring everyone else's wands now, too, and I kind of wish they wouldn't. Hermione and Ernie had cauldrons on their heads, and I thought someone put them there but they were using them as helmets. You would think you'd be able to figure out whose idea that was, but I can't even tell.

Sirius was in hospital all day because he put Snape's rooms on the Quidditch pitch. It was just really, really funny. I think he did it piece by piece, like with Colin and that car last year. Maybe he just moved them. I don't really know. Anyway I don't think it's worse than having Sirius's chair turn into a bathtub in the middle of lunch.

We have to fill out questions about our partners and I don't know what to say at all because Justin is too busy reading Martin Miggs to answer the questions so I hope we're not getting marks for it or anything. Tomorrow we're having a big feast in the Three Broomsticks and if I have to sit with Justin he's probably going to put a curse on me for putting a curse on him. I only put a curse on him because he put some on me first anyway. At least we're getting our stuff back. I didn't know what my prized possession was before. I don't think anyone expected theirs to be what it was, so that was kind of neat. Some people had funny ones and some people had serious ones and it was sort of fun to see what people had. I wasn't really surprised about mine when I found out. I didn't think about it and I didn't notice anything was missing when I woke up, and then when everyone said we were missing something all I could think about was my Quidditch gloves because I couldn't find them last week, which is really stupid. But trying to think about it I couldn't think of anything else, you know? Ron had them anyway.

We went to Diagon Alley because I've only really been to St Mungo's and Dogear Wryde lately and Ginny wanted to see something anyway. We went and saw Fred and George, too, and I think they got a lot of business for Christmas because they had stuff all organised, which was weird.

And we saw Percy, too.
Remus is leaving on Saturday. He said he'll be back before Christmas though, which is good because I want to have it at Dogear Wryde this year. Last year I just stayed at Hogwarts. Some people are being really rotten to Hermione right now. I don't know why, because it's not like she deserves it. She's got detention and everything and Hermione never gets detention.

Anyway, Hagrid is taking over Remus's lessons and he said he has an idea for something really exciting, so I'm worried about that. It probably means he's found something that can kill you with its ear but is really really cute or something. He won't tell me what it is so I can't even talk him out of it. Remus said he'll talk some sense into him so I hope that works.

I'm sorry I forgot to update this. I just never have anything to say, you know? I mean, it's kind of weird writing stuff where everyone can read it, and it's boring talking about lessons because everyone was there anyway so they already know about lessons. I guess I just don't have anything to say to anyone that I wouldn't already say to them. I'm pretty tired today. We just had practice and Ginny is looking great. She's a great Chaser and it's a good thing she's on the team. Most of the snow is gone off the pitch already but it was still cold. Evan likes playing with snow on the pitch because he says it helps us play in all weathers, only I don't really know why he says that, because we don't practise when it's snowing hard, just when there's snow on the ground and we don't even play on the ground so it's not like the snow really even effects us at all. One time Wood threw snowballs at us so we could learn to dodge but that seemed like it was a bit much. Evan doesn't go that far.

Only he heard me telling Ron that at practice and now I think he's going to try it too.

Uncle Vernon finally had the professional in this afternoon to set up my internet connection. Once I finally got the mail program configured, it nearly crashed from all the notices about my comments. I haven't sorted them all yet but thanks, everyone. I miss you all too.

Everyone else is asleep now, but I pretty much slept all day. I missed dinner tonight which is fine, because I probably wouldn't have gone anyway. The first week or so it was all right, I guess. They kept trying to take me out to places they thought I would like and Aunt Petunia got these funny twitchy tremory things when she was trying to find a place that made pizza like Sirius makes. They're still trying, more or less, but I'd rather just sit up in my room than be around them no matter how hard they try to be decent.

Mainly I've just been going through my stuff in my trunk. I guess it was Seamus and Ron and all who packed it, so thanks. It's alot easier to find stuff than it was the last couple of years. I found some stuff that I forgot that I even had. I don't know, really, it's like all those things that happened right before we left, it's was kind of hard to believe that it all really happened. And this stuff, I don't know what I'm supposed to do with it or if I should even have it, really. It's like maybe it should belong to someone else. I missed everything, and maybe none of this should feel very real.

It's late and it's quiet now, and it's not nearly so hot. I was thinking could maybe go down to the park or something, but it closes at sundown. Probably no one would notice anyway. But anway, I'm glad you guys are all having a good holiday, pretty much. Thanks for the owls and the comments and everything.

Hi, everyone! I'm fine! I'm updating from Dudley's computer because Uncle Vernon is rolling around on my bedroom floor tangled up in cords. He's been trying to get the cable connected to my laptop since right after we got home, but the wires are way too smart for him. I almost offered to help, but it's really funnier this way. Also, just watching him get purpler and purpler as the we got closer to the end of three days has been a blast. I'm only in Dudley's room now because listening to Dudley howl about it isn't anywhere near as awful to my aunt and uncle as the idea that Sirius might show up on the doorstep. Anyway, I'm okay, you don't have to worry or anything, and this is actually the best couple of days I've ever spent in this house. I should have thought to bring a convicted mass murderer and a werewolf to meet them ages ago.

I'm going to cut it short because I can't watch Uncle Vernon from here, and anyway, this room really stinks.

Sirius is the best cook ever. He made me pizza last night and it wasn't like any pizza I've had before ever. He said he learned to make it like that when he was travelling, and he said that next time he was making it Chicago style, if I thought this was good.

I think we woke Remus up, even though he said he was awake already. We didn't get back until about 2 in the morning yesterday and I know we weren't as quiet as we should have been when we came in. He had a few slices with us and then he told us to go to bed and that he would clean up since we were leaving pretty early this morning for Figiliona.

I thought I would get lots of revision done this weekend but in the end I didn't get any done at all. I was kind of hoping for a quiet weekend, but Saturday morning it turned out that we were having guests. It got pretty crowded pretty quick, so as soon as people started showing up, Sirius and I decided we'd just take the bike and go. It would have been better if Remus could have come too, but he stayed with Seamus and Mrs Malfoy instead.

We rode around for a few hours and I told him about how Uncle Vernon and Aunt Marge took Dudley to EuroDisney last summer, and Dudley said that it was brilliant. I always kind of wanted to see what he was talking about because he made it sound like it had to be cool. Sirius knew where there was a portkey there that was only a couple of hours away and we had enough fuel so we decided to go right then. We even got to take his bike through the portkey with us so we could ride around when we got there.

EuroDisney was awful, though. There was almost no one there and we wandered around for about an hour or so. We stopped at a concession and got popcorn and I have never had popcorn that was that disgusting in my whole life. It was way too sweet and soggy and it was absolutely gross. We had a few bites and decided that we'd had enough, so we left.

We rode around for a while and we thought about going to Italy, but by then it was getting pretty late so we stopped for dinner and then headed back for the portkey so we could go home and then go to Italy on Sunday instead.

We were supposed to try to find Maloney today but we didn't even really get started. We looked in this amazing Quidditch supply store in the centre of Figiliona, and we almost didn't come back out again. I haven't seen any place like it ever before. I finally got my own set of Quidditch balls and Sirius and I found hoops, too. They had all sorts but we found one set that we figured we could get back to Dogear Wryde with us and set up. They had people you could hire to set them up for you, but we looked at the instructions and it doesn't look hard at all. We figured that we could probably do it ourselves, no problem. I bet Remus is going to think it's really cool, too, but Sirius and I thought maybe we should stop by this candy store in Geneva for chocolates for Remus, just in case. We're going to put them up maybe next Sunday. I thought of just the place in the garden where they should go.

We got back late tonight too, and I asked Sirius if he would write me out of my first couple of classes tomorrow, but he figured I should probably go anyway. He says he'll cook me breakfast in the morning before we go back, and that's almost worth it.

I really don't care if I never have to deal with another Runespoor ever again. I stopped by this evening and the one that we managed to put a clampjaw curse on last night seemed to be okay, but the rest had bitten themselves bloody. I put the clampjaw on them, too, and I hope Remus doesn't mind, but I'm just so sick of them I don't even really care if they gnaw their own heads off. I figured it was probably okay since he didn't say anything about the first one when I saw him this morning.

It took forever to get to sleep last night because when I got back I found out that someone had dumped a bunch of junk all over my bed, and I thought I got it all cleared off, but whenever I turned I kept rolling over onto another stupid action figure or snow globe or something. Ron and I went through all the stuff after dinner and he kept a few things but most of it we just tried to burn. It wasn't long before it stunk up the whole common room, though, so I don't know how I'm going to get rid of it all now.

Remus and Sirius say I can have Ron and Hermione over this summer as much as I want, and Ron might come with us on some of our trips.
Mrs Malfoy, I don't know if you're reading this, but I hope you are. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for my journal account. It was really nice of you and everything runs alot faster now, so thank you.

I'm waiting around for Seamus because we're going to Hogsmeade today, but I haven't seen him yet.

I'm still trying to decide where Sirius and Remus and I should on holiday. Ron and I were thinking of maybe Italy. I've always really wanted to go to Figiliona, but maybe summer isn't the best time for it with the season over and all. Maybe we can go next Christmas. Evan says it's dumb to think that we'd be able to meet Maloney anyway, but it's a small town and he still has to get used to it, so I think the chances that we might run into him are really pretty good.

Ginny thinks I should ask if we could go to China, and she's right, it sounds great. She told me all about old wizard dynasties and apparently one of the monasteries in the south is really the oldest wizarding school in the world that's still running. She says that it's almost 3000 years old. I guess that would be kind of cool to see, but she also says that it's hidden pretty well, so I'm not sure if we could even find it. I don't know if I'd want to spend a holiday looking at old schools anyway, and I know there's alot more to do there, but China's so far away. Dean says that if China's too far away that Ireland is really nice. If it was next summer, it would be dead easy to pick, but I don't know if Sirius and Remus would let us stay in Argentina for the whole Cup.

But really I don't know if I want to go anywhere at all. I kind of think it will just be nice to just be at Dogear Wryde for the summer. I think it will be fun just to have friends visit and maybe instead of a big trip, we could just take alot of small trips around the country. But I don't know. I still have to think about it.

I think I hear Seamus, so I'm going.

There's no Potions today which is lucky, really, because I need the extra time to work on my speech. I've never been a best man before and I didn't realise the speech part of it. I know what I want to say, but I'm not even very good at giving speeches in class, so I'm pretty nervous about it. Ron and Hermione and I all went shopping at Hogsmeade last weekend, so I think that my dress robes will be okay. Ron says they look fine, and Hermione said she'll help me with my tie tomorrow. So that will probably be okay, but I'm still pretty nervous.

It's a good thing that Professor Lupin is a man again. It was really pretty creepy to see him as a woman, and I was getting worried that he might never change back. The wedding would have been just too weird if he wasn't a man again. Ron and Hermione and Seamus and Ginny and Cho and I tried to get him to go flying with us, but he seemed kind of uncomfortable with flying as a girl. Cho offered him some pointers, but he just said maybe some other time. Who knew that it would be that different? He told me that he tried to give Mrs Malfoy some lessons, too, but that it didn't go very well.

Ron wants to play chess again now, since we get a free hour. I've won about ten games off of him in the last two weeks, which is kind of new. Sirius wouldn't let me in to see him and I don't think that Sirius has even slept at all since Wednesday so I hope he sleeps before we go too. But I don't see how Professor Lupin will be ready. I don't know how you can have something like that happen to you and still be okay. I didn't remember it seeming like it hurt that much before but it looked horrible. And after it didn't even seem like it was him at all and I wonder how it is with the potion he takes because I know it helps, but I wonder if it still hurts like that. Because I don't know how anyone could do that every month, and maybe it would be worse if you had to know about it and remember it?
I'm glad that winter is finally over. Once I'm already out and in the air, I love flying in the winter. But when it gets so cold I really have a hard time making myself get my broom and go out to the pitch. And I don't know if Evan if feeling better yet or not but we didn't even really get out for practise much at all. So now that it's finally getting warm all I want to do is fly. I went out on Saturday with Professor Lupin and Ginny and Cho and on Sunday with Sirius and I think I'm flying this Sunday with Seamus, which will be fun. This week has been kind of bad for it because of all the rain but it's supposed to be nice again for the weekend so maybe I'll go out on Saturday too, but I wish that Evan would call a practise because it's fun to just mess around, but it's not the same thing as working out with the whole team.

I played Exploding Snap with Colin and Dean and Soblessa yesterday. We were kind of hoping that Seamus would come too, but he had to talk to Professor Lupin instead and when he came back he didn't seem like he was in the mood to play anything. Which was fine, because other than Colin, none of us really were. I think Soblessa is afraid of storms, or maybe she was still upset about Justin and Dean left after just two games to go check the owlery. But Colin won every game and seemed to really have a good time. He was still talking about it today, and also about this other game that I think that George and Fred and me and Ron played in third year or something. I don't really remember the game but Colin said that I won. Sometimes it surprises me how long Colin remembers things, though it probably shouldn't surprise me at all anymore.

I think I have to go talk to Professor Lupin about the werewolf assignment. Seamus and Dean and I did lots of research for it on Wednesday, but I kind of get the feeling from talking to Parvati that I didn't really understand what Professor Lupin wanted us to do.

Yesterday I had tea with Professor Lupin and it was really nice, and my last detention is tonight, too. Except I have one with Snape tomorrow at five, and it sounds really gross but that's normal. I kept falling asleep in Potions today too, so he gave me another detention for next Saturday, so I guess I should just forget about Quidditch unless it's on Sunday or in the afternoon. The weather is getting good, it's clear out and not too windy or too bright, so I guess we'd have a practice tonight except Ron probably won't go and Evan hates practising when everyone's not there. So I'll probably just have detention and then I guess I'll go to bed at seven at night because there isn't anything else to do. I was supposed to go to Hogsmeade this weekend with Ron, Professor Vector gave us passes because it's not Hogsmeade weekend yet, but now we're not going to that either. I have to work on my Potions essay, but I can't go to the library with Hermione because she won't, so I'll probably just try and figure it out by myself. Then Snape can be happy, anyway. Oh yeah, I got the new Quidditch Monthly with the tryout stuff in it, if anyone wants to read it. I mean, I aleady read it, and I think Seamus and Dean and Colin had it at breakfast but there's only food stuck on the Prides page anyway. Maloney's staying on with the Cannons, but Puddlemere is trying to get Claiborne. I wonder what Oliver thinks, he's staying as Keeper with Puddlemere, too, and I think he likes the Cannons so I bet he wants Puddlemere to get Claiborne too. Puddlemere has a higher streak than the Cannons so it's really cool that they want one of the Cannons. I don't think the Magpies are even doing tryouts unless they're doing it really secretly, but I guess maybe they are because I heard they're political about Quidditch, it makes alot of sense too. Oh, and they had an interview with Ludo Bagman, it was really funny.

Me and Sirius and Ron and Hermione went and played Grottle this weekend and I'd never played it before, actually I never even heard of it, so it was really cool. The run is away from Hogsmeade, a little bit, but pretty close to it, so we flew from there. Sirius is a great flyer and Hermione doesn't get to fly very much so that was good. It was kind of cold but not too bad, except Ron forgot his gloves so I gave him mine and my Firebolt was really cold. There were alot of families at the Grottle run, but Lee Jordan was there too.

Grottle is really cool. I think it's the only place you can fly on flying carpets legally, I mean unless you get special permission from the Ministry of Magic, so I'd never flown one before. First I flew with Sirius and Ron flew with Hermione, on a count of me and Hermione never playing it before, and I still think I like my Firebolt better than the flying carpet but it was really neat. It was like you could fall off really easy, so it was kind of hard to get used to but then it was really fun. Sirius let me fly by myself then and it was kind of weird. Then we started doing Grottle runs. You have to fly the carpet through this course with all these snowpeople shouting things at you and throwing snowballs, and you're supposed to get their noses from them so you can get prizes. The snowpeople were sort of nasty, they kept making fun of Ron's hair and my glasses, but I got a bunch of the noses. Ron said the noses kept breaking in half when he took them and a snowwoman stuck a whole armful of snow down the back of my robes. I only got one nose on my first run and Hermione got two, but after I knew what the snowpeople were doing it was easier. Sirius was great at it too, he took one of the snowmen's head right off! They didn't give him any extra points for it, though.

Ron and Hermione went and made their own snowpeople and Sirius and I kept playing Grottle. I wish we played it at Hogwarts because it was really fun. I mean, I guess it's more a fun game than a competitive game like Quidditch, so it's not really something people would play at school. We got a whole bunch of prizes at the end when we turned in our carrot noses, and I got this Falmouth pendant, but I don't really like the Falcons at all. I gave alot of mine to Ron and Sirius got this really tiny book called The Small Book of Small Wonders, so he gave it to Hermione. Then we had a snowball fight and Sirius won, even though it was me and Hermione against him and Ron, because he stuffed Ron's head under a pile of snow. Then we flew back to Hogsmeade and took the carriages back to Hogwarts. The dorm was really quiet because Seamus and Dean were fighting, maybe, or something, and I think Neville was at Hogsmeade with Ginny.
